Beyond Borders: A Global Perspective on Architecture (Part1)
"As an architect, I have always believed that there are no borders or boundaries in architecture. Sure, cultures may differ from one place to another, but the basic principles and needs remain the same across the globe. And in today's world, where the business culture is becoming more and more unified, architecture can truly transcend borders and bring people together.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working on several large-scale projects for top MNC firms in different parts of the world. And what I have learned from these experiences is that the key to success in architecture is not just about creating aesthetically pleasing structures, but also about understanding your clients' needs and meeting their expectations.
One such experience I had was when I was designing an IT campus in Noida, India. Out of the six design options presented to the client, my design was the only one that got approved. And do you know why? It was because I took the time to understand their selling strategy and designed the floor plates and grids accordingly. I made sure that the design was friendly for multitenant use, which was crucial to the client's business needs. And that's the secret to my success – understanding what the client wants and delivering it in a unique and creative way.
But what about coming up with something truly new and innovative in architecture? Well, I believe that it's all about finding the right balance between what the market demands and what is truly unique. It's not enough to simply come up with a completely new concept if it's not what the market wants. That's why research and understanding the market is so important to me before I start any design project. And that's also why my clients and their board members consistently approve my design concepts in the first presentation itself.
But my journey to becoming a successful architect was not without its challenges. In the international market, I witnessed many instances where pure architecture was diluted by politics and other factors. I realized that I could not compromise on my integrity and responsibility as an architect, which is why I decided to start my own firm – MARS Architects.
At MARS Architects, we are committed to delivering unique and creative designs that not only meet our clients' needs but also exceed their expectations. We understand that every client has their own unique business expectations,
and it's our job to find out what they are and deliver them in a way that is both creative and practical.
As an architect, I feel truly blessed to be able to create something new and innovative that can have a lasting impact on the world. And if there's one thing that I hope readers take away from my story, it's this – that architecture is not just about building structures, but about building communities and bringing people together. With passion, creativity, and a deep understanding of your clients' needs, you too can create something truly amazing that will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come."
In conclusion, architecture is not just about designing structures, but about building communities and bringing people together. The key to success in architecture lies in understanding your clients' needs and delivering unique and creative designs that meet their expectations. As we've heard from our experienced architect, Mahendra Mohan, architecture transcends borders and cultures, and has the power to shape our world in profound ways.
Stay tuned for the next part of this series, where we will delve deeper into the world of architecture and explore the innovative and creative designs that are shaping our world.
