This contemporary style dwelling is located in the lush landscape of Kerala. A site with its abundant flora, gave way for a structure that could just blend in with the surrounding, even with its contemporary style outlook. The design just carries the viewer from the entrance to the rear of the site with its interesting spaces and elements, right from the cavity wall on the south side which blocks the intense sun, full wall windows for bedroom, to the large vistas of the treated landscape and vegetable garden.The design follows a user based hierarchy, the whole design being broken down into public, semi-private and private areas. The public area consisting of the formal living area, semi private area consisting of the dining and the family living, the private areas consisting of bedroom, work area etc.The idea was to create a personalized space both functional and aesthetically pleasing with its white exteriors and complimenting interiors. The south and west side devoid of openings, adds on to the thermal comfort inside. This design gives a glimpse of the nature from all its spaces through its clear glass full height windows and internal courtyard compliments the interaction.
